Day 1. Arrival, greeting and relaxation after the flight.
Arrive to Anchorage and meet your local guide at the airport to be taken to your comfortable hotel downtown Anchorage. If you are coming off the cruise ship we will pick you up at the ship and you will have an opportunity to visit Alaska Native Heritage Center, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, Portage Glacier, and Alyeska Resort as time permits. Overnight in Anchorage. D

Day 2. Charming town of Talkeetna and a train ride to Denali National park.
Meet your luxury coach with your local guide at the lobby of the hotel. Enjoy views and narration of your ride to Talkeetna. You will have an opportunity to roam around this small, charming town before boarding the famous Alaska Railroad. On a sunny day this actually is the best spot to view the magnificent mountain McKinley, there you can also find unique Alaskan gifts and crafts. Then board your train for view of your lifetime. Arrive to Denali National Park. In the evening have Alaskan dinner and enjoy a talented performance with great storytelling, spirited music, and humor for your unforgettable true-to-life Gold Rush tale of adventure in early 1900s Alaska. Day 3. Go into the heart of the Denali National Park for an all day adventure.
This tour includes everything that you came to Alaska to see: unlimited wildlife views, magnificent mountains, pristine beauty of untouched Alaskan Interior. Learn about Alaskan animals from expert naturalists, explore the unspoiled tundra and forest, see amazing views of the “Great One” – Denali, and the wildlife in their natural environment. Overnight Denali National Park. B,L,D

Day 4. Free day to spend at your own preferences to explore the Park at your own pace.
Some suggested activities include:  

  • Denali Visitor Center

  • Flightseeing tours (we will arrange if interested)

  • Endless gift shops

  • Rafting (we will arrange if interested)

  • Guided ATV tours (we will arrange if interested)

  • Mountain hiking or biking

Day 5. Transfer back to Anchorage with stops at the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race Headquarters.
Board your coach on your way back from Denali Park. We will stop at the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race Headquarters. This is internationally known 1,100-mile sled dog race to Nome that takes place the first Saturday in March. You will learn all about this race of endurance and character and will have an opportunity to dog sled in the summer on a wheeled cart pulled by a dog team. Arrive to Anchorage. Overnight in Anchorage. B,L,D

Day 6. Tour and explore downtown Anchorage, tour ends.
Enjoy free time in Anchorage in the morning, self-tour downtown Anchorage for endless gift shops, historical places, and local coffee shops. On the last day (or first day if post-cruise), those that need to be transferred to/from the cruise ship will have an opportunity to visit Alaska Native Heritage Center, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, Portage Glacier, and Alyeska Resort as time permits.
